Infants (k-2)

Infant School

Calmsley Hill City Farm is a popular destination for many Infant School teachers and their students.

Whilst at the Farm students and teachers will get to experience and learn many new things. Our highly trained guides will engage with the students encouraging them to use their observational skills while passing on important information using a question and answer method to ensure complete engagement. Our message is heavily focused on "paddock to plate" coupled with an important message of "conservation and sustainability".

Class sized groups are lead by a farmer / guide through all our educational stations, many of which give the students the opportunity to touch and pat a variety different animals. One of the most popular stations is Cow Milking, where the children get to try milking for themselves.

Once the guided tour is complete students will have time to relax and enjoy their lunch before spending the early afternoon watching our farming demonstrations which include our Stockwhip show, as well as our Working Dog and Shearing demonstration.
