Sustainable Learning

Sustainable Learning at Calmsley Hill sets about engaging and enabling students and teachers to think critically about sustainability.

How can we prosper within the shrinking ecological limits imposed on us by the Earth and human population growth?

To develop and support the learning and teaching activities at Calmsley Hill, we have actively brought together experts from each level of education. Our approach is tiered and iterative: University research and teaching push and expand the boundaries of knowledge and understanding in fields specifically associated with sustainability. These activities are incorporated into our curriculum resources for Primary and Secondary schooling. Feedback in turn informs the research agenda for our university partners.

Calmsley Hill provides a unique context for constructing an understanding of our ecological footprint in terms of actions we can take in Energy, Land, Waste and Water.
